Avec «I’ll Sleep When You’re Dead Remix» Leonis offre une relecture toute personnelle de la création originelle d’El-P et réussit à bâtir un album autour de la voix du MC comme s’il n’en avait jamais été autrement !
Archéologue musical, il fouille, déterre, isole et redonne vie à des boucles obscures, inconnues et rares.
De ses mélodies sombres et oppressantes, Leonis fait jaillir un hip-hop aux sonorités agressives et profondément jouissives. Il réinterprète avec une élégance toute française les lyrics engagés de l’américain qui semblent prendre un sens nouveau et terriblement actuel. Leonis nous plonge dans un flot musical captivant, alliant violence et douceur, riff agressif et flirt pop, sans jamais trahir le flow tranchant d’EL-P. Le résultat est un album contrasté faisant le pont entre classicisme et innovation.

With "I'll Sleep When You're Dead Remix" Leonis offers a personal rereading of the original creation of El-P and manages to build an album around the voice of the MC as if it had never been otherwise!
Musical archaeologist, he searches, unearths, isolates and brings back to life obscure loops.
From its dark and oppressive melodies, Leonis brings forth a hip-hop with aggressive and deeply enjoyable tones. It reinterprets with a French elegance the committed lyrics of the American that seem to take on a new and terribly current meaning.
Leonis plunges us into a captivating musical flow, combining violence and sweetness, aggressive riff and pop flirtation, without ever betraying the sharp flow of EL-P. The result is a contrasting album bridging the gap between classicism and innovation.
